SEO Services in Leatherhead
Looking for SEO services in Leatherhead that actually bring in leads? This town has had a hard eighteen months and there is no point pretending otherwise. Unilever, ExxonMobil and Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation have all gone. What that means for the businesses still here is that the daytime spend has thinned and the customers you do get are worth more.
We do SEO & AI that gets local businesses found by people ready to buy. Not traffic for the sake of a nice graph. Leads and sales you can actually bank.
We’re in High Wycombe, working Leatherhead and across Surrey.
No jargon, no lock-in, no hard sell. Just honest feedback on what’s costing you.
What SEO services in Leatherhead get you
There is a statistic that explains why this hits Leatherhead harder than it would hit most towns. Mole Valley District Council’s own economy report found that the 25 largest businesses in the district, half of one per cent of the business population, provide around 27% of local jobs, and that employment is concentrated particularly in the larger businesses based in Leatherhead. Over 90% of the district’s 5,230 enterprises, on the 2023 count, are micro-businesses with fewer than ten staff. A town built on a handful of big offices feels it when one of them leaves.
SEO & AI makes your site easier to find, easier to understand, and easier to trust. We fix the technical problems holding you back, sharpen the pages that convert, and make sure Google and the newer AI search tools understand what you do and who you serve. Not rankings for show. Enquiries you can count.
Leatherhead businesses we help
The specifics, so you know we are not just gesturing at gloom. Unilever opened Sunlight House, its new UK and Ireland headquarters, in Kingston upon Thames on 8 July 2026, housing 1,200 employees. The Leatherhead building at Springfield Drive had been emptied by early March 2025 and has been marketed as Volt, 176,654 sq ft, ever since, with no new occupier announced as of August 2026. ExxonMobil said in March 2025 it was bringing the vast majority of its Leatherhead office and home-based staff together at Fawley, with around 250 UK positions affected by the end of 2026. QEF, a ninety year old charity employing 250 people, with its care and rehabilitation centre at Leatherhead Court, began winding down in November 2025.
Now the other half, which is real and gets far less coverage. Wates Group completed the purchase of its Leatherhead head office in January 2026, after more than twenty years of leasing it, which is a company choosing to stay. Achieve together signed a ten year lease at Fairmount House and opened a community hub for over 200 staff in July 2026. CGI won a £65m defence contract in March 2025 supporting around a hundred roles across Leatherhead, Reading and Bristol. Bytes Technology Group, a FTSE 250 business, is still registered here. And the town voted for a Business Improvement District in December 2025, live since January 2026.
On the town centre, we will give you both sides because the sources disagree. ONS business register data reported by the BBC in April 2025 showed Mole Valley losing 13% of its retail businesses between 2023 and 2024, the largest fall in the South East. Mole Valley District Council disputes that figure, saying it reflects businesses being incorrectly classified. It has not published a corrected number, and no Leatherhead-specific vacancy percentage has been published, so we are not going to quote you one. The 480 home Bull Hill and Swan Centre scheme, which includes a cinema and over £12m into the Swan Centre, was submitted in November 2025 and was still undetermined in April 2026, with concerns raised by Network Rail, county highways and the council’s own heritage officer, who remains supportive of the scheme in principle.

SEO services in Leatherhead FAQs
Is it worth investing in marketing in a town that’s losing employers?
Often yes, and for an unglamorous reason. When the market contracts, some competitors stop spending and some stop trading altogether. The businesses that stay visible pick up work that used to be spread more thinly. We would rather tell you that honestly than sell you a growth story Leatherhead does not currently have. If we think your particular trade is too thin here, we will say so.
Our customers were mostly the office workers who’ve gone. What now?
Then the job changes shape, and it is worth doing the maths before spending anything. Usually it means widening the catchment to the towns people commute through, Epsom, Dorking, Ashtead and Bookham, and leaning harder on the resident and trade market rather than the lunchtime one. That is a different set of pages and a different set of searches, and it is exactly the sort of thing the free review is for.
Is this different from just paying Google for ads?
Yes. Ads stop the second you stop paying. SEO & AI builds visibility that keeps working. Most businesses want both eventually, and we’ll tell you which to start with.
