What SEO for gyms gets you
The searches that turn into a trial are a class, a goal or a membership type, plus a town. Most independent gym websites are a homepage, an embedded timetable and a ‘join now’ button, so the chain takes the rest.
Where gym websites leak new members
The membership price is hidden. ‘Gym membership cost’ with the town is one of the first searches people make. ‘Enquire for prices’ reads as expensive. Put the memberships and what each includes on the page.
No page for the classes. ‘Spin class’, ‘boxing gym’ and ‘strength training for beginners’ with the town are different people. One embedded timetable ranks for none. A page per class type, with who it suits.
Nothing says who the gym is for. A powerlifting gym and a beginner studio both say ‘all welcome’. Say who you are for: beginners, over 50s, serious lifters, parents who need a crèche.
The booking app owns everything. Timetable, prices, trial booking and reviews all live inside an app Google cannot read. Keep the words on your own site; let the app do the booking.
Reviews on the app, not on the map. ‘Gym near me’ shows the Google map first. If your reviews live in the booking app, the map shows the chain. Ask members who hit a goal for a Google review naming the class.
AI search and GEO for gyms
People now ask AI tools which local gym suits a beginner, how much a membership should cost, whether classes or weights suit their goal, and what a first session is like. The answers draw on pages that say plainly who the gym is for, what it costs and what day one is like.
So we spell the basics out: health club structured data with the hours, price range, classes and facilities, matching details on the site, the Business Profile and the booking app, a page per class and membership, who you are for in words. Nobody can promise an AI answer will name you. We can make sure it never has to guess what you offer, who it suits or what it costs.

SEO & AI
Class and membership pages, the price in plain sight, who you are for, structured data.
PPC
Paid search for the class and membership searches in your town, timed for the busy months.
Social Media
The floor, the classes and the members who hit their goals, for people who want to see it first.
No mystery. Here’s the order.
The classes and memberships you want against the ones you rank for, the profile against the map box.
Prices and class pages first, then who you are for, then the profile.
We write the missing pages, put the prices on the site, fix the profile.
Trials by class and source, not visits, and we keep going.

SEO for gyms FAQs
Can an independent gym compete with the chains on Google?
Not for every search, and it does not need to. It can win the class, goal and ‘near me’ searches in its own town.
Should a gym put membership prices on the website?
Yes. People search the price before they visit, and ‘enquire for prices’ reads as expensive. The memberships and what each includes, in plain text.
Do we need a page for every class?
For every class type you want more people in, yes. One embedded timetable ranks for nothing. A page per class, with who it suits and what a first session is like.
What does the Website Leak Review look at for a gym?
Which classes and memberships you appear for, whether the price is visible, how much lives only in the app, how a trial gets booked.
