I’m Jamie, the founder and person behind FlyPost Marketing. I’ve spent the past five years working across SEO, paid advertising, websites and digital strategy, mostly trying to work out why something that should be generating business… isn’t.
In my own words
How I got here, and how I work
I’m largely self-taught, naturally curious and probably a little too obsessive when there is a problem I cannot immediately solve. I test a lot of ideas, tools and strategies, and I’m happy to admit that some of them turn out to be complete rubbish. That is part of doing the work properly. Marketing moves too quickly to pretend you already have every answer.
I have a particular soft spot for smaller businesses and underdogs trying to compete with companies that have much larger budgets, although, in the interests of honesty, the bigger companies do tend to pay better.
I dislike agency jargon, inflated promises and recommendations designed mainly to increase an invoice. I would rather explain what is actually happening, what is worth fixing and what probably will not make enough difference to justify the cost.
Outside of work, I’m based in High Wycombe, a dad to four children, and responsible for far too many late-night ideas that seemed sensible after everyone else had gone to bed.
What I write about
The topics I cover
SEO and AI visibility
Technical fixes, indexing problems, rankings that move and rankings that do not, and how search behaviour is changing.
Paid search
Google Ads that leak budget, match types, conversion tracking, and why clicks stop turning into enquiries.
Social media
Reach, engagement, and the honest gap between posting often and generating leads.
Websites and conversion
Why traffic arrives and leaves, what breaks after a redesign, and the route from landing to enquiry.
