SEO for Care Homes
Enquiries from families, not just visits
SEO for care homes comes down to one moment. A son or daughter types 'dementia care near me' late at night and needs a straight answer. If your home is not there, another one is. We do SEO & AI for care homes and small care groups: care type pages that rank, a Google Business Profile that works as hard as your front door, and honest fees information that families actually trust.
From £499 per month on a fixed-price SEO & AI package.

What SEO for care homes gets you
Almost every care home enquiry starts with a family member searching, usually under pressure, often after a hospital discharge meeting or a fall. They search the type of care and the town: ‘residential care home Aylesbury’, ‘respite care near me’, ‘nursing home with dementia unit High Wycombe’. They compare three or four homes, cross-check the CQC rating and the reviews, and ring the one that answered their questions.
That makes SEO & AI for a care home different from generic SEO. You are not ranking one homepage for one phrase. You are ranking each home for each type of care it offers in the places families actually search, and you are doing it for a reader who is anxious, short of time and reading on a phone. Clarity is the ranking factor and the conversion factor at the same time.
The point is not a traffic graph. It is the phone ringing with a family who already knows what you offer, roughly what it costs and that you have a room. Those are the enquiries that turn into admissions.
Where care home websites leak enquiries
One page per home, trying to be everything. The home’s page is brochure, admissions form and CQC summary at once, so nothing on it ranks for the specific search a family types. ‘Dementia care in Amersham’ wants a page about dementia care in Amersham, not a paragraph in the middle of a page about the whole home. Each home needs its own page, and each care type it offers needs one too.
Care types with a sentence each. Residential, nursing, dementia and respite are four different searches with four different decision paths. Respite is a family covering a fortnight. Nursing is a discharge team with a deadline. A single line for each under ‘our care’ gives Google nothing to rank and the family nothing to decide on. Proper care type pages are usually the single biggest gap we find.
Fees are the number one question and there is no page for them. Nearly every family wants to know what it costs and what is included before they ring. Most sites say ‘contact us for fees’. So the enquiry either never happens or arrives with the fee question first, which wastes your manager’s time. A plain fees page with a from figure, what is included and how funding and top-ups work ranks well precisely because almost nobody publishes one.
The Google Business Profile is half-finished. For ‘care homes near me’ the profile is the front door. We see the wrong category, no photos of the actual home, reviews with no replies and opening hours for a building that never closes. Families read that profile before they read your site. It needs the right category, real photos, every review answered and details that match the website exactly.
Details that do not match across the directories families cross-check. Your name, address, phone number and care types appear on your site, your Business Profile, carehome.co.uk, Autumna and the CQC listing. If they disagree, Google trusts none of them and families wonder which is current. Consistent details across all of them are dull, and they are one of the strongest local signals a home has.
Where a home wins locally, our local SEO service supports the website and Google Business Profile as one search journey.
AI search and GEO for care homes
Families now ask AI tools the questions they used to ask a friend: ‘what should I look for in a dementia care home’, ‘how much does a care home cost in Buckinghamshire’, ‘what is the difference between residential and nursing care’. The answers cite pages that give a straight checklist or a straight figure, and they name homes whose details are consistent across the web and whose Business Profile is live and reviewed.
For a care home to be legible to those tools, the basics have to be explicit rather than implied. LocalBusiness structured data with the care types listed. The same name, address and phone number everywhere. Care type pages that answer the question in the first paragraph, not the fourth. A fees page with real figures. Reviews on the Business Profile that are recent and answered. Honest fees content in particular gets cited because almost nobody in the sector publishes it.
We treat this as part of the same job, not a separate invoice. AI SEO for care homes is what good care home SEO & AI looks like now, and nobody can promise your home will appear in an AI answer. What we can do is make sure the answer engine does not have to guess what you offer, where you are and what it costs.

Most homes start with SEO & AI and add paid search when a new unit or a run of empty beds needs filling faster.
SEO & AI
Care type pages, home pages, fees content, the Business Profile and the structured data that makes it all legible.
PPC
Paid search for a new home, a new unit or a respite push, without paying for clicks from job seekers.
Social Media
Familiarity and reassurance for families deciding between homes, showing the people and the place.
No mystery. Here’s the order.
We look at each home’s pages, the care types you offer against the ones you rank for, Search Console, the Business Profile and every directory listing.
Care type pages and fees first, then the home pages, then the directories. Biggest gap first.
We write the pages that are missing, fix the Business Profile, sort the structured data and get every listing saying the same thing.
We watch enquiries by care type and by home, not just visits, and keep going where families are still not finding you.
Fixed SEO packages, no mystery retainers and no padding. Groups with several homes may need a custom plan, and you will know why before you commit.

No testimonials wall. Here’s what you actually get.
We read the CQC report first
Families read your rating before they ring, so the site’s job is to answer what the rating cannot: what daily life is like, who the manager is, what it costs and whether there is a room. We build the pages around those questions.

SEO for care homes FAQs
Can SEO work for a single care home, not just a group?
Yes, and often better. A single home competing for ‘care home in’ its town, with a proper page for each care type, a full Business Profile and honest fees content, is a straightforward job. Groups have more pages to fix and more listings to keep consistent, which is why they usually need a custom plan.
Do we need a separate page for each type of care?
If you offer it and families search for it, yes. Residential, nursing, dementia and respite care are different searches made by different people at different moments. One paragraph each on a single page rarely ranks for any of them. A proper page for each is usually the first thing we build.
How long before a new home’s pages start ranking?
A new home starts from nothing, so expect months rather than weeks, and the Business Profile usually shows results before the website does. An established home with a decent site can see care type pages move sooner. We will tell you what is realistic for your home and your town rather than what sounds good.
What does the Website Leak Review look at for a care home?
Which care types and towns you appear for now and which you do not, whether each home and care type has a page that can rank, the state of the Business Profile and the directory listings, whether there is a fees page, and where the enquiry journey loses families. Plain-English findings, whether or not we work together.
