The 2021 Census put Enfield at 330,000 people, up 5.6 per cent on 2011 against 7.7 per cent for London, and the borough ranked 30th of 309 local authority areas in England, the same position it held a decade earlier. That wording was still sitting there in the future tense when we read it in September 2026. Southgate is also not the end of the Piccadilly line. Transport for London’s own route listing runs Arnos Grove, Southgate, Oakwood, Cockfosters, and every service on that branch terminates at Cockfosters. None of that stops a business here being found.
